I’m really exited about an upcoming movie; Saving Mr. Banks. The movie takes place in the 1960’s during the filming of Walt Disney’s Mary Poppins. It is based upon Mary Poppins’ author P. L. Travers. The Disney Company had issues getting the rights of the book from Travers. Travers was very picky about every little thing; the songs, the actors and the script. Tom Hanks has the role of Walt Disney and Emma Thompson as P. L. Travers.
I’m exited because the movie will have scenes in Disneyland; with had been transformed into the 60’s. Which that means that they recreated Disney chracters into as they appeared in the 60’s and early 70's.
Pluto, Mickey Mouse & Goofy, as seen at the Magic Kingdom, FL. 1971
I have some issues with the Pluto reproduction. The original Pluto didn't have a tongue and his mouth was closed. Other than that, everything is okay. The fur fabric used for the costume seems vintage.
Hopefully, one day I get the opportunity of building vintage Disney costumes.

Does anyone know what happened to the old Disney costumes?
Here is an update on the ruby slipper film. I am building the Arabian Shoes, and working on the bows. For the bows, I used 4mm magma red montees and bugle beads. I’m sewing them into red/orange (coral) georgette, with an embroidery hoop.
I purchased rectangular stones from Oz Dreamer, Randy.
P.S. Any slipper fan will notice that I got the rhinestone count wrong. This is only a test for sewing montees and bugle beads.
I went to CVS Pharmacy yesterday and I saw Muppet Valentine plushes. I saw three characters; Animal, Fozzie Bear and Kermit. Each one has an attached heart. There $9.99 a piece. Maybe I’ll buy them when they are in clearance.
I have seen many Fozzie Bear plushes over the years and so far this my favorite one.
I have a similar Kermit doll, from a claw machine.
I will be working on a project about the history behind the ruby red slippers. I’m in charge of building the ruby slippers, and the cast wardrobe. I’m currently building Dorothy’s gingham dress, the Blue Test dress and the Arabian ruby slippers.
Some people say that I quit working with puppets. That’s false. I am still working with puppets. I still build puppets. I get orders from people and I build their orders. Evidence, my last order of 2012 was a girl and a boy puppet.
’ll be posting a completed version of my short film “Tred’s Priority” on youtube.com. Also, I’ll be posting production photos of the cast and crew that helped me on this project. For now here is a photo of a friend and me performing The Monster.
